Context
Belagavi, a growing city in Karnataka, India, was selected as a smart city to implement IoT, OT, and ICT solutions. With a population of 800,000, the city established an Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) as the hub for unified city operations.
Problem
Belagavi faced challenges in managing urban infrastructure, including transportation, water quality monitoring, and waste management. Key issues involved inefficient systems for monitoring public services, ensuring safety, and addressing grievances promptly.
Solution
Astrikos implemented cutting-edge IoT/ICT solutions through the ICCC, focusing on:
- Feasibility studies and field readiness evaluations.
- Defining key objectives, KPIs, and metrics for urban systems.
- Ensuring readiness through user acceptance testing and ICT integration.
Impact

This is needed for cities, which are already smart, to become smarter through more intelligence, so they can move from being reactive to proactive, from being predictive to being prescriptive in responding to natural disasters of any incident
